Fraudrin's death was something positive and there are several antiheroes in the group. Mel didn't betray them or hurt his friends(which is what King feared). I don't think the punch is the problem, that was quick and clean, it's the cruelty he displayed before finishing him which disgusted him. Merlin advised Escanor to leave him alone, Ban didn't do that, he went close to him and was looking at him like a monster. He should fully be aware that Meliodas is hurt by his reaction. Meliodas's actions are far better than Ban's previous attempt at killing him in order to resurrect Elaine. I believe Ban is acting like that mainly because he hates the Demon clan more than anyone among the Sins, not because he doesn't know how to react. If he doesn't apologize(and I believe he should), I don't see how their relationship could get better.
