I don't think it's weird that the fight was stopped. Honestly, why do some actually expect Natsu to almost kill Gray? Not liking him is fine, but it seems some are forgetting the whole principle of Fairy Tail and it's handling of guild members. We all know that Natsu isn't really evil, so can anybody imagine how he'd feel and how his guild members would react to him after hearing he almost killed his rival/best friend in a sort of death match because he's a demon? It would cause a rift that could never be fixed. This is no "Gajeel attacking Levy and friends", this is a "Holy crap, we've got a murderous thing in our middle who we always thought was a nice, cheerful guy and now he almost killed one of our best fighters". The whole matter has to be sorted out differently. And yeah, I also expected Juvia and Lucy to stop them, but honestly, if somebody is throwing himself between those two madmans, it's okay for it to be someone who has proven that he can at least take a hit. I'd expect Lucy to be pulverised by them if she'd be in Erzas place. And THAT would make it the same situation that I already mentioned. Erza already got hurt, as we can see, so that will have its effects, too. Also I don't think that the matter with E.N.D. is through with just that. He's getting stronger, Natsus mind is getting more and more attacked. They'll have their fair share of troubles with him, soon enough.
